SPCKRFT is honored to present the first solo exhibition of Shahab Zargari, an award-winning Iranian-American filmmaker, artist, and creative visionary. With a passion for storytelling that transcends mediums, Zargari has made his mark in film, photography, music, and advertising—melding these disciplines into a unique artistic language.
A graduate of the University of California, Irvine, with a background in sociology and education, Zargari’s career has been shaped by his deep understanding of human connection and artistic expression. His acclaimed directorial work includes the Philip K. Dick adaptation The Crystal Crypt (2013) and the award-winning shorts My Name is Art (2018) and Oh, The Guilt (2021), which have captivated audiences across major film festivals and streaming platforms, including Amazon’s All Voices Film Festival.
Beyond his achievements in filmmaking, Zargari plays a vital role in the Las Vegas arts community as the Communications Specialist for the UNLV College of Fine Arts. His expertise in cinema, podcasts, social media, and video production continues to support the evolution of film and media in the region.
Now, after years of participating in group exhibitions, Zargari takes center stage at SPCKRFT in Downtown Las Vegas with a compelling solo showcase that invites audiences into his multi-dimensional creative world.
🎶 Musical atmospheres by Mike Biggs and Brock Frabbiele will accompany the experience.
